Honoring The Legacy

I was able to assemble a display of our Grandfather Joseph at the Jefferson Patterson Park Museum. I discussed his Life and Legacy to Mr. Michael Kent NAACP President Calvert County, Maryland. Mr. Kent worked with me and we presented photos of the Original saw that our Grandfather used to operate his Saw Mill business, the location of the Saw Mill and some of the tools that he made and sold. 

Special Thanks to Aunt Francis daughter, the Historian for the Holland Family she provided a lot of assistance.  

Lester Holland was a blessing. He gave me a tour of the barn where he keeps all of Grandfather Joseph original saw, tools etc.  He told me some fun stories and it was very nice to see the love he had for our Grandfather - such wonderful memories.  

My brother Thomas use to play at the Saw Mill when he was a little boy he shared some information as well. In fact, we are hopeful to work with Betty Seifert  (Curator) to complete a Oral Interview I sent her office an email requesting an Interview with my brother Thomas and we are awaiting a response.  

*Special thanks goes out to Lester Holland bless his heart we would never have had any thing for the exhibit, he provided most of the photos. He took care to protect and preserved the memories of our Grandfather in his Beautiful red barn.
